Start with the scale

On a linear chart, a move from $1 to $10 occupies almost no visual space beside a move from $10,000 to $100,000, even though both are tenfold increases. A logarithmic price axis gives equal vertical distance to equal percentage changes, making long-horizon comparisons more meaningful.

What the regression does

A regression model fits a mathematical trend through historical observations. For Bitcoin, obsila models log price against log time. Bands around the fitted trend show how far observations have historically deviated from that central path.

Standard deviations

Band labels such as 1σ and 2σ describe distance from the fitted relationship in model residual units. They are not guarantees that price will remain inside a band, nor do they imply a normal distribution.

Regression bands summarize historical structure. They do not create a fundamental valuation floor or ceiling.

How to read the chart

Focus on relative position: below the midpoint, near the midpoint, or substantially above it. Then compare that reading with drawdown, volatility and momentum rather than using the band as a standalone signal.
